    The second section of this book contains “The body of the common law of England,” a separately paged section “Statutes,” and a section with a separate title page and pagination, “A summary of the common law of England : as it stood in force, before it was altered by statute or acts of parliament.” This last section is identical to the first work in this Garland reprint, but has a statement of responsibility “by E.W.,” and has imprint “London : Printed Anno Salutis, 1655.” Both contain the additional title information: “Extracted (for the most part) out of the French and English copies of Sir Henry Finch, Kt. his learned treatise of the law : and digested into certain tablets for the help and delight of such students as affect method.” This work was apparently issued as a whole, as The body of the common law of England.
